Ashford wool dye collection - Acid exhaust dyes

10-gm of dye powder with 10 tablespoons of white vinegar will dye 1 kg (2.2lbs) of wool to full shade. For smaller quantities, one level teaspoon of dye powder with two tablespoons of white vinegar will dye 200 gms of wool. For a lighter color, add less dye powder. 10% discount on 6 or more jars.  Sizes may be mixed.

PROCION MX SERIES
Priced per 1/2 oz jar.

A fiber reactive dye that is versatile and permanent. Very high ratings for both washfastness and lightfastness. Reactive dyes chemically react with the fiber and form a permanent bond with it. Use for immersion dyeing, batik or tie-dye. Non-reversible; excellent for overdyeing and double-dyeing. Use on cellulose fibers - with salt and sodium carbonate (washing soda) as the chemical assistants. Use on protein fibers with salt and white vinegar. You'll get a basic recipe with instructions for use on cotton with the dye. More information on using Procion can be found in "Hands On Dyeing."
